Optare has added a further Regional Sales Manager to its team committed to selling its range of bus products. Charles Waggott will be taking responsibility for sales to operators in the east of England.

Mr Waggott joins Optare from MCV Bus and Coach Ltd where he spent three years as Sales Manager. Earlier, his career spanned 12 years as Director of Export Sales for ERF Trucks (where he sold many
front-engined Trailblazer bus chassis into such markets as South Africa, Kenya and Malawi), five years as Export Sales Manager for Edbro and 13 years at Ford where his experience included truck export sales and production.

“We are confident that Charles will add significantly to the capability of our bus sales team”, says Chris Wise, Sales Director, to whom Mr Waggott will report. “During his time at MCV he secured significant conquest contracts with a wide range of customers and this is the sort of track record we need for further success”.

Optare renewed its entire bus range last year – with its Solo and Tempo models winning new sales and this year has the production availability of the all new Versa midi bus to look forward to.
